The Institute's traditional retreat seminar took place on September 15–17 in the picturesque location of Jizerka. The meeting provided a productive platform for sharing scientific results and strategic planning. The program included presentations and discussions on the most significant projects currently being actively implemented by the Institute, as well as the presentation of the outputs awarded in the competition for the best ICS publication of 2024.
As part of this year's celebrations of the Institute's 50th anniversary, its members met at Novotného lávka on June 18, joined by colleagues from the local and international scientific community.

Helmut Schmidt graduated in physics from Humboldt University in Berlin. He successfully completed his doctoral studies in applied mathematics at the University of Nottingham. In his new project, he will work closely with research teams from the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig, where he also spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow, and with colleagues at the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica in Barcelona.

Proč by si ale počítač nemohl tyto programy pro řízení bezpilotních letadel i sám napsat? Ukážeme techniky, které by někdy v budoucnu mohly s tímto pomoci.
